Jim is the husband of Kim and the father of Noah, and currently serves as our Preaching/Teaching Minister, a position he took up in October 2024. He grew up on a farm just east of High Point, MO. He attended Central Christian College of the Bible, earning a B.A. in Cross-Cultural Ministry in 2002. He went on to earn an M.A. in Ministry from Lincoln Christian Seminary in 2007. He’s currently working on his Ph.D. and hopes to have it completed before Jesus comes back. Before coming to Countryside, Jim served churches and para-church ministries in IL, ID, and MO. Jim’s favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 58:10, and his greatest passion and desire is to act as a catalyst in equipping people to fully experience the life change and transformation offered through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. 

Hi! My name is Brendan Schloss, and I’ve been the youth minister here at Countryside Christian Church since January 2022! I have been married to my beautiful wife Becka since September 2020. My wife and I are licensed foster parents and currently have two kiddos. 

In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, playing video games, board games, and spending time outdoors. I also enjoy watching Baseball, Hockey, and Football. I also love teaching students about Christ and the impact He has on their lives. I also love seeing the impacts that students can have on their friends, family, and community!
